bio

The name "Alura" is derived from a 1940s comedy called "She Wouldn't Say Yes." The character was the name of a woman who was both a sociopath and a temptress of sorts who could not keep men from pursuing her. The group decided that this name was perfect representation of the "alluring" sound of the music being created. It comes from a variety of influences that emulate the intense aggression of Slipknot, Ill Niño and Korn mixed with the beautiful melody of bands like Deftones and Thrice.

Their first single "Counterfeit" is a crushing, riff-driven metal anthem,
from their self-titled “Alura” EP, quickly gained them traction. They followed the success of their first by songs like “Lowlands” & “Disciple” which quickly garnered them attention from fans. Since then Alura has gone on to release several EPs and garned over 2.5 million streams on their music along which eventually caught the attention of Out of Line Music with their song “The Bell Witch.” The band signed with the label in 2024 and released a series of singles culminating with their 8 song EP, “Evergreen.” Each song showcases the many sides of Alura from the melodic & brooding “Evergreen,” to the chaotic, nu-metal inspired nature of “Wonderland, and the more radio-friendly, anthemic songs like “Dumbstruck” & “The Disappearing Act.”

Alura has opened for many main-stay acts in the rock & metal world including the likes of Beartooth, Sevendust, Bleeding Through, Nonpoint, & Upon A Burning Body. They have also toured the west coast extensively with shows in Colorado, Texas, Arizona, Utah and California. The band has every intention of getting anyone and everyone to learn about the infectious & alluring sound of Alura.
